Large Irrigator Customers 

REBATES:

East Cherry Creek Valley Water and Sanitation District’s Rebate Program  is intended to assist Homeowners Associations, as defined under Section 38-33.3-102, et seq., C.R.S., (“HOA”) customers with the removal of nonfunctional turf and replacement with low-water landscaping, as well as sprinkler heads/nozzles/irrigation redesigns, or new controllers, as a tool for cost savings and water conservation. Customers may be eligible for a reimbursement of up to Fifty Percent (50%) of your costs associated with such installation, not to exceed $35,000 for each program. 

Turf Removal Rebate Program Requirement

 

·        Your ECCV account must be current, in good standing, and use the EyeOnWater application.

·        The area sought to be converted must have existing grass and the same portion of the property cannot have been previously converted through use of the Program. Areas that are barren soil, have artificial grass, or that have significant bare patched of soil and weeds are not eligible for the Program.

·        Areas where the lawn has previously been removed are not eligible to participate in the Program

·         The installation of artificial turf is not eligible to participate in the Program

·        You must replace the existing turf with at least 50% low-water vegetation (e.g., xeriscape, native plants; trees not included). Consider irrigation efficiency (e.g., drip irrigation) and soil amendments.

·        You are responsible for initiating and obtaining all necessary permits, approvals, and locates for landscaping changes prior to starting any work under the Program. This may include requesting a locate from Colorado 811.

·        You must remain compliant with ECCV’s then-current watering schedule, as may be updated by ECCV from time to time.

 

 

Application Requirements & Additional information

 

     Completed applications must include the following.

    For Turf Removal:

 Pictures showing the area of property proposed to be converted

 Map will be provided by ECCV. The map must be marked to show area to be converted

  Detailed design proposal with cost information from landscape designer/contractor, inclusive of any irrigation system updates or changes

  Detailed list of replacement material/plants and soil amendment types/techniques  to be used and the amount (frequency) of watering required for plant material to be established.

   For Sprinkler Heads/ Nozzles/Irrigation Redesign:

 Sprinkler bodies must have check valves and pressure regulation

 Nozzles must be high efficiency nozzles

     For Controllers:

  Controllers must have remote programming available and Wi-Fi/weather data compatible

 Must include the location of controllers marked on map.

  All invoices and/or receipts shall be provided to ECCV.

   Detailed plans and quotes shall be provided to ECCV for review prior to work being commenced.

  ECCV shall require an inspection of your completed work prior to providing the rebate. The rebate will be provided as credit to the Master Meter account in 4 installments. 

   Plant material/flowers must be low water use, native or xeric.

Complete applications will be processed in the order they are received, and funding is available on a first come, first served basis contingent upon project completion, receipt of all invoices and receipts, and shall require an inspection from ECCV. ECCV may request supplementary materials to process application.  Submission of this application does not guarantee receipt of a rebate from ECCV under the Program.
