SCHIZACHYRIUM SCOPARIUM: 'Little Bluestem'  |

Little Bluestem is a blue-green, clump forming grass that reaches 4’ tall and 2’ wide at maturity. Blooms are insignificant; the plants are grown for their blue-green summer foliage and red to orange fall color. Space plants 2’ apart in the mixed border or naturalized setting. Native to the United States, it is often used in Prairie restoration projects. Cut Little Bluestem back to the ground in spring before new shoots emerge.
